The chance of finding a blueprint isn't too good, though, so you will likely have to clear several space encounters between blueprint finds. However, never having played the beta, I don't know how good said features were or how much they added to the game. Space encounters (anomalies, hostile ships, friendly ships, and non-player space stations) are the only places where you can find mech blueprints (you need to have a mech to access space encounters). Terraria's real guide was the online wiki.Īnd again, I do feel some disappointment in looking over some of the scrapped features in some of the reviews. In Terraria, you only had the vague hints of some freeloader who took residence in your house without your permission. But Starbound actually gives you some idea of what to do next. Sounds like you are simply surface-skimming and not finding it. That means it appears in way more places than in vanilla. Most FU biomes of tier4 level will also contain it. Every tier 4 vanilla planet will have it (as per the game storyline via esther). Both Starbound and Terraria have very rough starts where you have no idea what to do or where to go. Durasteel is easier to find than in vanilla by a heavy margin. And though a single tab is less than Terraria's whole inventory, you can altogether carry much more stuff than in Terraria.Īnd I would say Starbound's tutorial is equal to or greater than Terraria's. It can also be found at Hylotl Underwater Cities. Starbound's inventory feels more organized than Terraria's in that it has tabs that separates your items via categories. Durasteel Bed - Starbounder - Starbound Wiki Durasteel Bed navigation search Durasteel Bed is a bed type furniture object crafted using durasteel bars at an industrial workbench. However I'm going to disagree on the inventory management. And 6 toolbar slots does seem like too little. It did mean that you had to go back down if you were in the middle of an expedition, but it's much easier going down than it is to go up. In Terraria, you didn't even need to find a magic mirror, since saving and exiting brought you back to your spawn.

I tell this from experience because I built an underwater base and the Pressurised set of blocks drains your Durasteel reserves. If your main use of it is for building, be sure to gather a lot. The deeper you go, the bigger the ore deposits are. I agree with not being able to teleport back up being an inconvenience. You get Durasteel in higher quantities on Jungle and Alien planets.
